Geographically targeted SMS messaging has emerged as a powerful tool for political candidates to engage with constituents in specific areas, delivering tailored messages that resonate with local concerns and issues. - From your Home Screen select “Communication.”
- From the drop down menu click “SMS.”
- On the SMS page select “Send Text Message.”
- From the pop up window click “Create a Targeted Group.”
- On the next page select “Add Filter.”
- From the list select “Custom Areas.”
- From the pop up window select “Add Filter.”
- A pop up window will appear. Give your area a name. Use the map to draw your targeted area. When finished select “Close Shape.”
- If you’d like to add another area select “Add Another Area.” Name your group. When finished click “Done Drawing Boundaries.”
- Select your group and click “Create Group.”
- Name your group and select “Done.”
- From here you can create a SMS message as you normally would and your new geographically targeted area will appear in the drop down menu.
