Canvass Routes
Learn about Canvass Routes in the Vottiv Canvassing system
When using the Vottiv Canvassing system you don't need to cut walk lists. We've developed an algorithm to automatically cut the group into the most optimal routes for walking. We call these Canvass Routes. These Canvass Routes are generated automatically after creating a canvass.
After generating a canvass, it may take a few minutes for the canvass to generate. During this time, the system is clustering voters and creating the routes.
Once the canvass is finished generating, select the Details button of the canvass.
Canvass Routes can be managed in two ways: on the map, or on the table below the map. You'll notice that the system automatically names each route for easy reference.
Clicking on a route enables you to see the live status, give it a custom name, or assign specific canvassers to the route.
These routes and assignments will now show up on the map for any canvasser who opens this canvass in the Vottiv app.
For canvassers, each route also includes the most optimal route for canvassing the route indicated by the blue line.
